My name is Vusal Yusif. I created this site to bring together my professional and personal life in one place. I like keeping things organized and simple, and this is my way of doing that.

The Story Behind the Name

My official surname is Heydarov, but I choose to go by Yusif. It’s a personal decision connected to my family history.

Through our family research, I learned that Yusif is our earliest known ancestor. I also came across the tradition of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), which teaches that a person continues to “live” as long as their name is remembered by the living. When a name is forgotten, the soul is believed to experience a final death.

By using Yusif as my surname, I’m honoring that earliest ancestor and keeping that connection alive.

What I Do Professionally

I work in immigration operations and case management, supporting law firms with complex cases from start to finish. I help attorneys stay organized, build workflows that reduce errors, and communicate with clients in Azerbaijani, Turkish, and English.

My technical background helps me troubleshoot tools, create templates, and automate tasks. I also support small businesses with bookkeeping and financial tracking.

Outside of Work

In my free time, I lean into my creative side by focusing on projects that are deeply personal. Whether I am producing videos with the people closest to me or capturing my thoughts through writing, these moments allow me to slow down and reflect.

These pursuits remind me that life is more than just a routine; they are how I process, understand, and connect with the world around me.
